Police: Woman told them she regularly pays police in another city to avoid going to jail

CORPUS CHRISTI - A Thursday night fight landed one man in jail for throwing a barbecue grill at an SUV and a woman in jail for suspicion of bribery, Corpus Christi police said.

Officers were called to the 6200 block of Hidden Cove at 9:20 p.m. for a fight. Officers said when they arrived they held four passengers in a Jeep Cherokee that was parked next to a Dodge Nitro. Police then met with six more people in a nearby apartment.
