Not everyone goes fishings and surfing and sun bathing on Galveston Island. Here are a few the Chamber of Commerce and the Visitors Bureau don't include in their commercials.
People like Kevin Alexander, 44, are all over Galveston. Drunk, hanging out, intruding on other people's property and refusing to leave when asked to. This guy wouldn't leave the AME
Church grounds on Broadway so he was BUSTED & CUFFED.
Every cop in Galveston has arrested Ricky Hicks, 48, at least once. He has been on BUSTED & CUFFED a half dozen times. Ricky stays drunk or high, except when he's in jail, and roams around
Galveston, trespassing, mooching and bumming. We once saw him directing traffic on Broadway. Some day there may be a Ricky Hicks Memorial Cell in the county jail in his honor.
Here's another one. Tony Sanchez, 43, is a regular at the Freddie Poor Hilton for being drunk or high and a general pain in the ass to everyone he comes in contact with. He's also
semi-famous for having more names than he can count on both hands. Here's a few: Gato, Anthony Eulogio, Kat Eulogio, King Kat, Anthony Sanchez, John Sanchez, Eulogio Sanchez and others.
If you seem him on the street, just say, "hey you".
Ellis Daniel Maxwell, 26, was BUSTED & CUFFED when police got a call to the Village By The Sea Apartments on Central City Blvd. to investigate a man and woman screaming. There was a baby in
the apartment and police say this guy was choking a 21 year old wife with a different name than his. Old 'tough guy' was charged with 'strangulation' assault, a felony, and held in lieu of
$125,000 bail.
