Busy end to a busy summer

Last Sunday, we had the "perfect storm" of conditions to make it the busiest day we've had since the day Hurricane Ike rolled in.

We had a beautiful day, rough water and huge crowds. The lateral current kept the lifeguards busy keeping people from the rocks, the San Luis Pass area had abnormally strong currents, and there were several boating emergencies on the bay side of the island.
