Officials say quarrel preceded the incident that caused his death

Pinned beneath a car after he was intentionally struck by his wife, a Houston man screamed for help and threw his cell phone to witnesses moments before he died, authorities said.

Donald Wesley Holmes, 29, died of asphyxiation from chest compressions in the Labor Day death, said Donna Hawkins, a spokeswoman for the Harris County District Attorney's Office. His wife, April Holmes, 29, is charged with murder.
